Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative professional to lead the development and maintenance of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BC/DR) plans across the organization. This role will work closely with internal business and technology teams to assess operational processes, document recovery requirements, and ensure readiness through training, testing, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have experience in risk assessment, regulatory compliance, and the ability to drive cross-functional initiatives that strengthen organizational resilience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BC/DR) plans across departments.
• Collaborate with internal business and technology partners to assess and document operational processes and recovery requirements.
• Facilitate training sessions and workshops to ensure stakeholders understand and can execute their recovery plans effectively.
• Document findings and observations of testing activities, including descriptions of goals, planning, scheduling, execution, results, analysis, conclusions, and recommendations.
• Partner with the Enterprise Risk department to create risk assessment(s) for BCP/DR.
• Conduct regular reviews and updates of BC/DR documentation to reflect changes in business operations or technology environments.
• Support testing and simulation exercises to validate recovery strategies and identify areas for improvement.
• Assist in risk assessments and impact analyses to inform recovery planning.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards related to business continuity and disaster recovery.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or 4 years of equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years’ experience developing and/or validating Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans in regulated enterprise context.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Experience in Microsoft Visio for diagramming and process mapping.

• Ability to work independently with minimal direction and effectively meet deadlines.
• Ability to work collaboratively with peers in a team environment to attain common goals.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing, in person, and by telephone with all levels of the organization.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

 

Desired Skills and Qualifications

• Certified Disaster Recovery Professional (EDRP) or Certified Business Continuity Manager (CBCM) certification
• Financial services industry experience

 

Compensation Range: $64,800 -$121,500 annually. Actual compensation may vary within the range provided, depending on a number of factors, including qualifications, skills and experience.

Work Conditions 

Able to attend work and be productive during normal business hours and to work early, late or weekend hours as needed for successful job performance. Overtime required as necessary.

  • Sitting up to 90% of the time
  • Walking and standing up to 10% of the time
  • Occasional lifting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching
