Overview

We are seeking to fill the role of Escrow Transfers and Reporting Specialist I. The ideal candidate enjoys collaborating with clients, industry partners and internal teams to maximize outcomes for homeowners.

Responsibilities

• Review and process reports to identify and correct escrow lines in MSP; complete full audit reviews, including providing substantiating documentation as required
• Ensure that all outgoing and incoming loan transfers have met requirements for payment of taxes, insurance, and MI/PMI through processing work/reports as assigned; make corrections to tax, hazard, and MI/PMI lines per guidelines
• Prepare loan transfer reports and provide to the Loan Transfer Coordinator
• Process results from reports to provide key metrics to the Escrow Department as required
• Efficiently manage time/workload to accomplish assigned tasks promptly and accurately
• Complete internal audits, client loan review reports, and special projects as assigned
• Research returned/unidentified funds: Complete research of payments returned due to incorrect address and mismatched information, process NSF check requests, various cash related functions as needed
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years of experience in mortgage loan servicing/lending (insurance company, escrow department, accounts payable, accounting clerk, or similar role may be acceptable)
• Knowledge of taxing authority due dates, including delinquent and loss/reduction of discount dates
• Ability to manage time and priorities wisely
• Ability to grasp concepts quickly, make sound decisions, and resolve issues
• Ability to work in a high-volume and time-sensitive environment
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction and effectively meet deadlines
• Ability to collaborate with peers in a team environment to attain common goals
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing, in person, and by telephone
• Ability to use Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality

 

Desired Skills and Qualifications
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced Excel skills preferred)

Work Conditions 

Able to attend work and be productive during normal business hours and to work early, late or weekend hours as needed for successful job performance. Overtime required as necessary.

  • Walking and standing up to 10% of the time
  • Occasional lifting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching
