Overview

We are seeking to fill the role of Escrow PMI Specialist III. The ideal candidate enjoys collaborating with  clients, industry partners and internal teams to maximize outcomes for homeowners.

Responsibilities

• Ensure loans with mortgage insurance (“MI”) in the mortgage servicing portfolio are serviced according to investor guidelines.
• Conduct daily reviews of Dynamics 365 cases pertaining to customer and/or client inquiries or complaints and provide comprehensive and timely written responses.
• Identify and monitor case trends and report findings to leadership including recommendations process improvement.
• Assist peers with secondary level loan reviews.
• Reconcile corporate advance accounts to ensure accurate payment of MI valuations.
• Ensure proper information is entered into the servicing system.
• Conduct quality control reviews of loans to verify accuracy of system data.
• Perform monthly reconciliation reviews of all payments processed in the portfolio
• Generate and process exception reports to ensure timely payment processing.
• Review of monthly mortgage insurance termination reports to ensure that PMI is removed on all qualifying loans in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Examine loan documents to verify mortgage insurance coverage, termination dates, and other key data elements.
• Update and maintain mortgage insurance rescission and cancellation documents, collaborating with internal and external clients to mitigate associated risks.
• Process mortgage insurance reinstatement requests and ensure follow up through completion.
• Review and complete open mortgage insurance tasks at the loan level.
• Identify instances of premature mortgage insurance removal and implement necessary corrective actions.
• Process exception reports to ensure accurate setup of mortgage insurance lines in the system of record, including the review of closing documents.
• Assist in training and provide side-by-side learning opportunities.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in mortgage loan servicing, with a preference for mortgage insurance experience (experience in a mortgage insurance company, mortgage origination, other escrow department functions, accounts payable, accounting clerk, or similar roles may also be acceptable).
• Strong knowledge of investor guidelines and processing systems (FHAC, SMDU, etc.)
• Ability to manage time and priorities.
• Quick comprehension of concepts, with the ability to make sound decisions and resolve issues effectively.
• Prove ability to work in high-volume and time-sensitive environments.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction and effectively meet deadlines.
• Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with peers in a team setting to attain common goals.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, including in-person and telephone interactions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Dynamics, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.). 

 

About Remote Employment

Work Conditions 

Able to attend work and be productive during normal business hours and to work early, late or weekend hours as needed for successful job performance. Overtime required as necessary.

  • Occasional lifting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching
