Responsibilities

• Lead assigned business units in their response to changes in applicable Federal consumer financial laws, investor guidelines, client requirements, and market conditions.
• Manage efforts within assigned business units to remediate compliance issues identified by LoanCare’s customers, employees, clients, auditors, and regulators.
• Oversee the business units’ policies, procedures, and job aids in accordance with LoanCare’s Board-approved policy and procedure framework.
• Lead self-assessments to ensure compliance with policy and procedure framework.
• Participate in the review of new products and services affecting assigned business units.
• Track and report to LoanCare’s Board and management on all compliance issues, trending, and remediation efforts.
• Present to the Board, shareholders, regulators, and clients on matters that relate to LoanCare’s compliance management system.
• Recommend changes to LoanCare’s training program to ensure training is timely and tailored to the needs of assigned business units.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree with an advanced degree in business or law preferred.
• At least five years of mortgage industry experience with a strong background in risk or compliance
• Comprehensive knowledge of applicable consumer protection laws, financial industry regulations, and GSE guidelines.
• Proficiency with Black Knight’s MSP.

• Ability to work effectively with others at all levels across the organization and provide authoritative guidance to management and staff within the organization.
• Experience reading and interpreting regulations, laws and statutes.
• Strong research skills preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, flexibility and adaptability.
• Strong communication, collaboration and technical compliance skills.
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Meticulous attention to detail and quality of work product.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products and SharePoint.

WORK CONDITIONS

 

Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Ability to attend work and be productive during normal business hours and to work early, late, or weekend hours as needed for successful job performance. Overtime required as necessary.
