Responsibilities

• Manage, coach, mentor and develop teams responsible for the onboarding and off boarding of servicing transfers and new originations flow loans, ensuring procedures are followed, standards are met, and operational issues are addressed effectively and efficiently
• Complete and deliver performance reviews
• Manage inbound and outbound transfer pipelines ensuring work assignments (transfers) to team members are balanced for optimal efficiency
• Measure and report on employee performance and work output
• Develop / maintain staffing models for all processes
• Serve as escalation point of contact for issues related to onboarding and offboarding loans
• Represent department in rating agency, GSE and Client meetings, virtually and in-person when necessary
• Review transfer activities to ensure compliance and adherence to GSE, state and federal regulations
• Ensure that data mapping and testing activities are designed to ensure loans can be serviced according to investor, line of business, state, and federal requirements
• Establish and report on metrics and goals for all team members, developed to ensure timeliness and accuracy as well as compliance with requirements
• Prepare or participate in development of annual budget, setting expectations and goals for all areas of responsibility
• Manage vendors ensuring reviews for timeliness and accuracy are performed
• Develop/maintain policies and procedures for all areas of responsibility, including ensuring timely updates are completed.
• Develop/maintain new hire training plans for all positions

• Ensure strong change management controls are in place including required approvals, procedure updates and employee training
• Implement compliance and regulatory changes timely, efficiently, and effectively
• Develop/update/maintain tools needed by team members to facilitate the onboarding and offboarding of loans
• Participate in activities related to LoanSphere Loanboarding including user groups, enhancements, user testing, etc.
• Establish escalation and client response protocols and ensure compliance by all team members
• Identify areas of opportunity for process improvement, develop and present solutions to management and lead initiatives to implement
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field or an equivalent amount of work experience
• 8+ years of experience in mortgage servicing and servicing transfers
• 5+ years of managerial experience
• Knowledge of state/federal laws and regulations applicable to mortgage/consumer lending
• Considerable knowledge of loan servicing practices
• Considerable knowledge of workflow processes, staffing needs, and management of operational costs
• Demonstrated leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate, mentor, train/coach, evaluate performance, and lead multifunctional staff in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and analyze accounts/records of a complex, detailed nature
• Analytical and mathematical ability sufficient to calculate and evaluate performance metrics and apply them to increase efficiencies and resolve operational deficiencies
• Demonstrated project management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Excellent client relations and presentation skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle client escalations in a professional manner
• Excellent organizational skills and detailed oriented
• Ability to coach/train and mentor department staff successfully

WORK CONDITIONS

 

Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Ability to attend work and be productive during normal business hours and to work early, late, or weekend hours as needed for successful job performance. Overtime required as necessary.
