A DAY IN THE LIFE

 

 

In this role, you will…

 

  • Attend meetings with clients and servicers, assist with transfer plans and ensure tasks are completed
  • Process BKFS data files and in-house data files, which involves the mapping of loan data received from BKFS and prior servicers
  • Review and maintain ad-hoc reports and scrub reports to ensure accuracy of loan boarding
  • Maintain and improve knowledge of applicable systems and special mortgage products
  • Assist with footprint tickets and client inquiries via email, involving researching and updating loans in MSP

Responsibilities

DETAILED JOB DUTIES

 

 

  • Process BKFS data and in-house data files, which involves the mapping of loan data received from BKFS, new and existing mortgage clients along with the migration of data into the in-house servicing system
  • Assist Data Specialist III in mapping merge bulk transfers with BKFS and the prior servicer, help close open items, meet deadlines and complete assigned task to successfully complete transfers
  • Manually board loans in MSP using data files, reports and images provided by the client
  • Act as primary point of contact in establishing new transmission process with new clients. Ensure data delivery guidelines are set and clearly communicated to client
  • Participate fully in the loan transfer process including meetings, coordinating with clients and servicers, assisting with transfer plans and ensuring tasks are completed
  • Evaluate new loan migration and boarding processes to ensure adequate timelines are established and met and the transfer is completed successfully
  • Ensure exception reports, ad-hoc reports and scrub reports are review daily by all team members and appropriate action is taken. Report and assist in updating and developing reports as needed
  • Ensure data boarding and processing issues are addressed and resolved timely
  • Communicate with department management, clients and servicers to ensure procedures and best practices are followed and issues are communicated and resolved in a timely manner
  • Maintain and improve knowledge of applicable systems, processing standards, special mortgage products and related data definitions on servicing platform. Make timely recommendations on needed enhancements
  • As directed by supervisor, cross-train on and perform other functions
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 

 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associates degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in data migration, reading and/or understanding mapping/scripting software is a plus (Ex: Eli software)
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in mortgage servicing, mortgage related or banking field preferred
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word are required
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet organizational deadlines, multi-task while maintaining departmental standards
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills a must

Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Ability to attend work and be productive during normal business hours and to work early, late or weekend hours as needed for successful job performance. Over time required as necessary.
